Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Once upon a time, you dreamed of being/doing/experiencing something…

a career dream,

a vacation spot,

a pastime that led to fame and fortune…

You know, back in the once-upon time when you still believed in fairy tales.

You probably put that dream on hold for many good reasons~~

you had to grow up,

get a job,

take care of your responsibilities.

You became civilized.

Don’t you think that dream could use a visit?

Take it off the shelf for a moment and look it over.

Gotten quite dusty since you last saw it…hmmm…

maybe just a little polish here and there.

Being civilized isn’t always what it’s made out to be…

You could take that dream out sometimes,

couldn’t you?

Just to play.

From time to time.

Who knows what could happen?

Take a walk on the wild side.

This is just beautiful, I don’t know why but I keep finding all these blog posts that help relieve my anxiety. I’m aspiring to become a fine artist but everyone thinks that I’m just talking-the-talk. But I’m serious, I’ll be majoring in fine/studio arts at a university/art school and when time comes, I’ll work as many jobs as I can to support myself as I look around for my big break (I don’t plan on just sitting there and waiting).

Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to read & respond so thoughtfully.

Never doubt that you are an artist. The fact that you want to create art, and the fact that you’re doing something to make it happen is evidence that you are an artist. Blessings on your path!

Nice work. I’m at a disadvantage here, though. I never quit believing in fairy tales.

I have learned, the hard way, “Don’t let life get in the way of living”
It’s never too late to live. To be present for ones life.

A little bit, or a lot, of what I’m doing now with my photography. Something finally came hurling back at me from my childhood, and now it’s taking flight. Loved this writing. You do good. :)
